Cleaning
Our cleaning procedures start with hand washing. Hand hygiene is the first method of preventing the transmission of bacteria and viruses. ElectraBeauty goes beyond "normal" cleaning practices that may be carried out in your own home. We clean and disinfect all surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectant wipes in between each client to stop the spread of germs. We also offer hand sanitizer on the desk when you first walk in for anyone wishing to sanitize before and/or after their treatment.
Sterilization
Prior to sterilizing our instruments, they are first placed in an ultrasonic cleaning unit with a protein-dissolving enzyme solution. After the ultrasonic cleaning cycle has completed, the instruments are then rinsed, drained, and dried before placing them in a sterilization pouch. The instruments are then placed in a dry heat sterilizer for the appropriate time and temperature to achieve sterilization. The probe used during treatment (this is what is inserted into each hair follicle) is never re-sterilized or re-used. Each client receives a single-use, pre-sterilized probe, which is disposed of at the end of each treatment.
